CHURCH COMMUNITY’S SPRING BOOK CLUB!
The NewChurch Live church community will be hosting a book club for members of the faith community. Two groups will be offered. Choose from Wednesday OR Thursday evenings starting March 15th or 16th at 8pm, EST. We’ll be reading New York Times bestselling author Mitch Albom's book and most personal story to date: an intimate and heartwarming memoir about what it means to be a family and the young Haitian orphan whose short life would forever change his heart. A complimentary copy of the book will be mailed to participants before the club starts in March!

Are family and relationships a topic of interest? Do you long for community? This book, and this group, are for you.
Finding Chika is a celebration of a girl, her adoptive guardians, and the incredible bond they formed—a devastatingly beautiful portrait of what it means to be a family, regardless of how it is made.
In this surprisingly uplifting book we will explore topics such as family, loss, as well as deep joy and gratitude.
Over 3 Zoom sessions, members of the NewChurch Live community, both far and wide, will come together as a church community to connect and discuss some of experiences Albom writes about in his book. Topics such as:
- What it means to be family, both biological and other.
- Optimism and resilience
- Love and loss
- The lessons we can learn from one another both young and old.

"Albom’s memoir is a lens into his grief but also a celebration of Chika’s spirit and lessons gleaned from their time together as a family. The heartbreaking but uplifting story is a testament to the bravery and resilience of children and the power of love. — Library Journal"
